"Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you about the hope you have. Be ready to give the reason for it. But do it gently and with respect."
-1 Peter 3:15
At Evergreen, we take this encouragement seriously. After services on Sunday, not only do our children attend Sunday School, but after a time of fellowship, take your coffee into the sanctuary for Dig Deeper, our question and answer time. Click here to learn more.
At Evergreen, we believe the gospel affects the head, the heart and the hands of everyone who believes. Our children are such an important part of our church that we maintain a time of dedicated worship and learning after Sunday Morning services to encourage our children to engage faith.
Head: We must know what we understand about who God is and how he reveals himself to us. The Christian should be in constant pursuit of God and knowing him more by exploring history, theology and, especially, the Bible.
Heart: We must feel God working in our lives, convicting us, encouraging us, and directing us. The Holy Spirit moves in the lives of our children since before their birth and baptism. We try to create opportunities to express how God is working in what we say and what we do.
Hands: Our faith can not be solely about works, but we must certainly be willing use to use our time, abilities and wealth to share with others. With children this comes in the form of creatively expressing ourselves in the community through acts of service in love.
